FACTS
Lady Shri Ram College was founded by Sir Shri Ram in memory of his wife in 1956.
The College began in the old Delhi area of Daryaganj.

Indeed, its fast paced growth is evidenced by the fact that in just two years from its foundation, in 1958 the College relocated to its present verdant, spacious and well appointed location in Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi.

An active alumnae association, the ELSA (Ex LSR Students Association) initiates and co-ordinates alumnae activities. It meets twice a year as a general body and in smaller groups round the year.

The various societies in the college Dramatics, Creative Writing, Dance, Art, Music, Debating, Elocution, Project, Spic Macay, Dhyana, Voluntary Agency Placement Programme and the Women's Development Cell - provide a forum for the expression of extraordinary talent and equip you with self and social awareness.
The cafe, the ruins, the back-lawns, the assemblies, the bhel puri outside college, running to M-block between classes, sports/department and ultimately the College festival-Tarang: all the fun moments in L.S.R. make it the place to be in.
